What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember, for example, your language or that you have already answered the cookie question. Similar technologies include the browser’s local storage (localStorage) and tracking pixels. On this page we call all of them cookies.

How consent works

When you first visit the site, we ask for permission for two groups: statistics and marketing. Until you answer, only necessary cookies are used. If you refuse, statistics and marketing services are not loaded.

For Google services we use Google Consent Mode v2. If you do not give permission, Google Analytics and Google Ads do not store cookies in your browser. They may still receive a cookieless signal that a page loaded or a form was sent, so that visit numbers can be estimated statistically. The signal contains no identifier that could link you to earlier visits.

Your choice is kept for 365 days, after which we ask again. You can withdraw or change your permission with the button on this page or from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the site. When you withdraw permission, we delete the site’s own statistics and marketing cookies from your browser. Cookies that third parties have stored under their own domains can be removed in your browser settings.

Necessary cookies

These are needed for the site to work, and no permission is asked for them. They do not follow you on other sites.

Statistics cookies

Used only with your permission. We see in aggregate how the site is used: which pages are read, where visitors come from and where a form is left unfinished. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.

Marketing cookies

Used only with your permission. With these we measure whether our ads lead to enquiries, show ads to people who have visited the site and identify at company level which organisations visit the site. YouTube videos embedded on our pages fall under the same permission.

Transfers outside the EU

Google, Meta, LinkedIn, HubSpot and Hotjar may also process data outside the EU and EEA, especially in the United States. Transfers are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The services’ own privacy policies:
